Graphic Training Aid, U.S. Rifle, M14 - Color Training Chart 7-1-2, June 1965 - Printed in color on 32 pound / 8.5" X 11" photo paper at 2400dpi - all 22 pages were originally scanned from a 34" X 42.75" original M-14 GTA 7-1-2. Every detail is completely readable! The cover and back of the 8.5" X 11" GTA are 19 mil thick polypropylene. The booklet is stunning in any size noted below. Here's the page plates for the book - "click" HERE to see the M-14 Graphic Training Aid. The restoration is probably brighter then the original, because of the restoration methods I used! The other very important item I want to note - each individual chart is "all there" - including the plate numbers and references to field and technical manuals. No part of any chart has been cut off or removed in any fashion. You will not be disappointed at the quality of these charts! They are all incredibly restored and look almost like the day they were drawn. NOTE: Individual drawings are available in a variety of sizes and papers. If you desire same, please contact me via email at: themerc@windstream.net for pricing. IMPORTANT NOTE: Although the GTA states 22 Plates, I found that there were only 21 Plates plus the Cover Page - 22 Pages total.

Item Name: 8.5" X 11" Graphic Training Aid, U.S. Rifle, M-14 - Color Training Chart 9-608, February 1961 Price: $28.00 FM 23-16 (M14) Automatic Rifle Marksmanship (June 1965) - approximately 100 pages of some of the best information and photos for using the M14 rifle in full automatic. The book has numerous pictures - requiring extensive restoration work. Here are two examples of the pictures found in the field manual (simply "click" each hyperlink in blue underline): (1) Figure 21 / Page 23 - "Underarm firing position with the M14E2 rifle using sling support"; and (2) Figure 49 / Page 53 - "Unsupported underarm firing position with the M14 (modified)". There are about 40 pictures and 30 figures making up this manual. Since I have found the pictures to be so incredible, I am offering this manual in two versions: the regular 24" paper black & white version (which looks great on it's own) & the 32# photo paper version. Both are printed at 1200dpi, but the photo paper makes the pictures seem almost "alive". This book can be placed on the shelf in your workshop for easy reference. The book also opens and lays flat, so you can work on your rifle and observe your manual simultaneously. The field manual discusses firing positions, automatic fire, fire distribution, battlesight zero, adjusting aiming point, conduct of fire, firing data cards, transition firing, etc. "Click" HERE to see the Cover Page of FM 23-16.

USMC Competitive Rifleman's Data book (3591) / NAVMC10787(REV2-78) consists of: Windage and angular minutes for M72, pages 1-2; Target dimension 200 / 300 yards, page 3; Windage diagram 200 / 300 yards, page 4; Target dimension 600 / 800 /1000 yards, page 5; Windage diagram 600 / 1000 yards, page 6. Then: 40 sheets (80 pages) of 200 yard slow fire; 40 sheets (80 pages) of 200 / 300 yard rapid fire; 40 sheets (80 pages) of 600 yard slow fire; 10 sheets (20 pages) of 1000 yard slow on 5V target; 15 sheets (30 pages) of 1000 yard slow on decimal target. The dimension of the 24# paper used to make the booklet is: 7-15/16 inches long X 4-5/16 inches wide. The front and back covers are 67# vellum. There is also a very thick and very tough semi-clear front and back 19-mil thick polypropylene cover to protect your rifle data for years to come. I've gone overboard on these manuals - they far exceed the clarity and quality of the originals produced by the Navy and Marine Corps. Concerned about the price? Item Name: Competitive Rifleman's Data Book (3591), NAVMC 10787 (REV 2-78) Price: $28.00 U.S. Marine Corps Rifle Marksmanship and Data Book for U.S. Rifle, 7.62-MM, M-14 & U.S. Rifle, 5.56-MM, M-16 - nearly 100 pages of rifle data for your M1A, M14, AR-15 and/or M16. The original manuals that the Government Printing Office (GPO) has printed are very cheap; so I used a waterproof cover and back; used plastic coil binding for easy opening vice two staples; used 67 lbs inside cover & back; and used thick, non-bleed through heavy 24# double-sided paper - so you don't have to see through to the next page. You can buy yourself an $8.00 or $10.00 cheap GPO book on one of the auction sites, or spend $2.00 more for a great semi-permanent book you can use for years and years into the future - that works and looks great!
Item Name: M14, M1A, AR-15 & M16 USMC Rifle Marksmanship and Data Book Price: $15.00 Rifle, Caliber .30, T44E4, Notes on Development Type Materiel (June 1955) - This report outlines the initial production of the first 500 M14 rifles ordered into production, starting with serial number 1001, and manufactured by Springfield Armory (the government one). This manual is 70 pages long and includes the description, data, operation, functioning, disassembly, assembly, semiautomatic & full automatic fire selection, accessories, and service of the M14 rifle. There are photos and figures of the rifle and its accessories. There are also two excellent blueprints of the sectional view and cross-section of the rifle with part numbers. There is also a "list of parts" for the rifle, along with spares to field and maintain 100 rifles. Here's an example of one of the two blueprints: Figure 6 Blueprint. The paper is 24# bright white (102+) with the book being plastic wire bound. This book can be placed on the shelf in your workshop for easy reference. The book also opens and lays flat, so you can work on your rifle and observe your manual simultaneously. Maybe it's just my imagination, but it seems that the older manuals have more thorough information.
Item Name: Rifle, Caliber .30, T44E4, Notes on Development Type Materiel (June 1955) Price: $12.00 Special Text 7-179, U.S. Rifles, 7.62-MM, M14 and M15 (December 1958) - This 46 page publication is often referred to as the "first" field manual for the M14 rifle. One of the better field manuals, in my opinion. The book contains the "complete" GENERAL DATA on the M14 and M15 rifles - nearly two pages of information. Excellent assembly and disassembly instructions with very good pictures showing the operator "how to" assemble or disassemble same. The "cycle of operation" for the rifle is identified with figures for: feeding, chambering, locking, firing, unlocking, extracting, ejecting. and cocking the rifle. A stoppage "cause & remedy" chart is included. Here's an example of three of the pages from the manual: Cover, Page 2, and Page 19. The paper is 24# bright white (102+) with the book being plastic wire bound. This book can be placed on the shelf in your workshop for easy reference. The book also opens and lays flat, so you can work on your rifle and observe your manual simultaneously.

The Marine Corps Recruit Depot M14 Nomenclature / Diagrams pamphlet is an eight page booklet of parts, nomenclature, and diagrams of the M14 rifle. The drawings in the pamphlet are very well done. Here's and example of Page 3. The telescope was made by Redfield and was 3X X 9X "variable power". The manual includes information on: mounting, focusing, sighting in the telescope. There is a tabulated data page on the telescope, mount, and carrying case. Finally, the operation of the telescope is discussed, including: ranges at 300 meters, standia marks, eye relief, etc.
Item Name: The Adjustable Ranging Telescope (ART) Mounted On The Match Conditioned 7.62MM M-14 Rifle (September 1968) Price: $5.00 Rifle, 7.62-MM, XM21, Sniper W/Adjustable Ranging Telescope and Mount With Equipment (1005-179-0300) November 1969 (DTM 9-1005-221-10) - The never published operator's manual for the XM21 (later designated the M21 Sniper) rifle still being used in combat by the Army and Marine Corps. Has some very interesting (and very clear) pictures of the rifle, mount, and telescope. Includes operating instructions, basic issue items, lubrication, maintenance, ammunition, and descriptive data and characteristics of the rifle. Basically, it's what it says it is - an operator's manual! The paper is 8-1/2" X 11" size 24# bright white (102+) with the book being plastic wire bound. This book can be placed on the shelf in your workshop for easy reference. The book also opens and lays flat, so you can work on your rifle and observe your manual simultaneously. The book is approximately 46 pages long.

No pictures, just lots of parts diagrams and breakout of parts lists used for maintenance and repair of this first generation night vision sight.

Operator's Manual For Night Vision Sight, Individual Served Weapon AN/PVS-2 (5855-087-2947), AN/PVS-2A (5855-179-3708), and AN/PVS-2B (5855-760-3869) / TM 11-5855-203-10 - Operator's manual for the night vision sight found typically on the M14/M21 Sniper's rifle in Vietnam. Approximately 49 pages in length reprinted in 8-1/2' x 11" and wire bound polypropylene with cover and back - so you can actually see and read it. Original pocket manual was about one quarter this size - and somewhat hard to read if you're over 30 years old! The manual discusses basic installation and operation of the night vision sights on the M14, M16, and M60 small arms. The pictures in the manual are fair to good quality and readable - typically much better then what you'll find at a gun show, but not the "walk-on-water" standard of pictures I prefer.

Item Name: Mouse Pad - U.S. Rifle, 7.62-mm, M14 Basic Nomenclature Price: $14.50 each U.S. Rifle, M14, "Operation & Cycle of Functioning" - DVD / TV Version - US War Department 1955 Training Film T.F. 9-2970 (Run time: 27 minutes 24 seconds) - If you have a desire to learn about how an M14 rifle actually functions, this is the video for you! This video offers a step by step video/audio symphony of the internal actions of the bolt, op rod, bullet, trigger, hammer, clip latch, extractor, ejector, selector switch for full auto, etc. Ever wonder how the bolt stays open after firing the last round? How about how the op rod functions in concert with the bolt, hammer, extractor, ejector, etc. to eject the spent shell and feed a new round? This is the video! The video is in black and white with audio. I have simply taken an existing (and excellent) 1955 M14 War Department film, corrected the brightness and contrast, converted the file to "DVD" - so you can watch on your TV or computer. You simply put the disk in your DVD player - it starts right up without a menu. I have seen the competition charge up to $29.99 for similar videos. "Click" HERE to see the M14 DVD Disk Label. Here's another couple of pretty cool pictures from the Training Film - M14 Picture 1 and M14 Picture 2.
