Item Name: Carbine Stock, Cal. .30, M1A1 Supplement, First Edition Price: $23.00 TM 5-9340 SNIPERSCOPE and SNOOPERSCOPE (September 1944) - This booklet is literally the start of low-light sniper operations using the M1 Carbine series SNIPERSCOPE. This 174 page front to back publication is in color and scanned / printed in 600 dpi. The manual includes: fundamentals of operation, infrared sources discussion, all component parts, principles of operation, assembly / disassembly, starting / stopping, night vision, scanning, battery discussion and parts, charging, operation under unusual weather conditions, spare parts, first through fourth echelon maintenance, troubleshooting, and a complete list of parts fro the SNIPERSCOPE / SNOOPERSCOPE and all associated equipment - the works. You'll get a pretty good idea when you "click" HERE as to the quality of reproduction of the manual. This Tech Manual is plastic wire coil bound with sturdy polypropylene covers to protect the 28# paper. I use 28# paper so there is no bleed-through between the front and back pages as you flip through the manual. I print this manual on a color printer - again, see the two page sample. If you know much about printing you'll understand why the booklet is priced higher than most of the others I sell - and I sell what I consider to be the best reproductions you can get.

The course was set up for half a day. The first hour covered the Disassembly and Assembly of the M1 Carbine. The second hour of instruction dealt with the care, cleaning, and functioning of the M1 Carbine. The third hour of instruction covered operation, safety, stoppages, and immediate corrective action to be taken by the operator of the M1 Carbine. Finally, the fourth hour dealt with spare parts, accessories, and ammunition. This is designed as a basic overview of the M1 Carbine. The manual consisted of several numbered plates illustrating various operations of the carbine itself. Here are several sample pages: FRONT COVER, TABLE OF CONTENTS, and PAGE 013.
Item Name: US Marine Corps Course of Instruction in U.S. Carbine, Cal. .30, M1 (1945) Price: $12.00 SA-ITM-S201 Carbines Cal. .30, M2 and M3 Ordnance Inspector Training Manual - Basically, this book dissects every assembly down to the individual parts; the publication then describes the materials, heat treatment, machining tolerances, tools, gages, inspection procedures, protective finish, and acceptance procedures for the individual M2 and M3 Carbine parts. The book is 265 pages long and contains numerous pictures and diagrams of the gages, testing procedures, and parts used for the M2 and M3 Carbines. Obviously, there are only a few minor differences between the M1 and M2-M3 Carbines involving the trigger group (and M3 receiver) - so nearly all of the manual would apply to the M1 Carbine. "Click" on the following hyperlinks to see several pages of the information contained within this publication: COVER, PAGE 1 - CONTENTS, PAGE 2 - CONTENTS, PAGE 1 - FIGURES, PAGE 2 FIGURES, and PAGE 53 - BARREL GAGE. Obviously, this manual is for those Carbine enthusiasts who are more technically proficient in understanding the operation, design, and construction of the Carbine Series of the "horseman's rifle or musket". The manual is plastic wire coil bound with sturdy polypropylene covers to protect the 24# paper.

Every detail is completely readable, even on the 8.5" X 11" version! The cover and back of the 8.5" X 11" GTA are 19 mil thick polypropylene. The booklet is stunning in any size noted below. Here's the page plates for the book - "click" HERE to see M1 Carbine Training Chart Individual Plates. The restoration is probably brighter then the original, because of the restoration methods I used! The other very important item I want to note - each individual chart is "all there" - including the plate numbers and references to field and technical manuals. No part of any chart has been cut off or removed in any fashion. You will not be disappointed at the quality of these charts! They are all incredibly restored and look almost like the day they were drawn.

TB 23-7-1 Ordnance Field Service Technical Bulletin No. 23-7-1, Carbine, Cal. .30, M1 Dated March 17, 1942 - This technical bulletin is all about the M1 Carbine only! The manual does not include information about the M1A1, M2 or M3 versions. Covered materials in this manual include: operation and function, disassembly, assembly, care, cleaning, lubrication, immediate actions and stoppages, spare parts, accessories, ammunition, and (this is not a misprint) chemical exposure to poisonous gases and other chemical agents. There is allot of "how to" pictures that reminds me more of a field manual for basic soldier use. This is a pretty respectable 68 page manual for the M1 Carbine individual owner to use. The paper is 24# bright white (102+) with the book being plastic wire bound. This book can be placed on the shelf in your workshop for easy reference. The book also opens and lays flat, so you can work on your rifle and observe your manual simultaneously. All the pictures in the manual are more then readable and useable - unlike many of the gun show manuals I've run across over the years. I've priced the manual so just about anyone can purchase it for use.
Item Name: TB 23-7-1 Ordnance Field Service Technical Bulletin No. 23-7-1 Price: $8.50 U.S. Carbine Cal. .30 M1, Tank Destroyer School Weapons Department, Camp Hood, Texas - This 30 page manual is probably one of the first "field manuals" ever put out on the M1 Carbine. The manual covers the early "L" sight M1 Carbine, its characteristics, disassembly, assembly, functions, immediate action, stoppages, care and cleaning, plus has diagrams and pictures reflecting disassembly, assembly and deployment of the rifle by (apparently) tank crews. There is no date on the publication, but it seems fairly obvious that this is an early WWII equivalent of a field manual on the M1 Carbine. "Click" HERE to see a sample of Page 8 of the manual. The paper is 24# bright white (102+) with the book being plastic wire bound. This book can be placed on the shelf in your workshop for easy reference. The book also opens and lays flat, so you can work on your rifle and observe your manual simultaneously. This manual has some of the coolest pictures I've seen - for $8.00 it is well worth purchasing!

The eight pages are set up and bound to look similar to how the magazine was actually printed and distributed. A much stronger 65# cover was added to protect the eight pages of information as well. Although my photography is very poor, the booklet turned out great! Here are a couple examples of the information provided in this magazine insert: Pages 54 & 55, Pages 58 & 59.
